Choose the decision first

Choose a cash forecast,
a management report or both.

Useful when reporting arrives late, metric definitions disagree, collections need clearer ownership or leadership rebuilds the same spreadsheet each week.

CASH FORECAST

Look ahead.

Define the forecast period, cash inputs, expected inflows and outflows, and assumptions. Include an update method the responsible person can follow.

LEADERSHIP REPORTING

See what matters.

Agree the KPIs, definitions, data sources and reporting view around the business question. Avoid adding metrics that nobody uses to make a decision.

REVIEW RHYTHM

Put the view to work.

Document update ownership and how the team reviews exceptions, assigns actions and follows up. Continuing preparation is a separate scope.

Relevant documented work

Cash control needs
operating ownership.

The company portfolio describes claims tracking, reconciliation and receivables accountability in a construction engagement. It reports $372,865 in supplement revenue across 98 claims over five months.

Historical results from a broader operating engagement, not a promised result from building a dashboard or completing the $490 audit.

Practical questions

Begin with
the question.

What should I send first?

The decision you cannot make confidently, your current reporting tools and how often the report is needed. Do not send bank details or sensitive financial records through the general inquiry form.

What if our inputs are incomplete?

We assess the input gap before agreeing the build. Cleanup, reconstruction or additional discovery is quoted separately; a polished report cannot resolve unreliable source information by itself.

Is ongoing reporting included?

The project scope defines the view, documentation and handoff. Continuing preparation, maintenance and advisory support require a separate agreement.

Cash-flow forecasting & management reporting

Turn the reporting package
into a decision tool.

Bring AP commitments, AR aging and collections ownership into the cash forecast. Connect budget-to-actuals, margin drivers, backlog and KPIs to clear actions for owners and nonfinancial leaders.

Sources, definitions, update frequency, review ownership and any QuickBooks or Excel configuration are agreed before work begins.
